For over 30 years FORWARD has supported some of the world’s most vulnerable girls and women. Our work on female genital mutilation and child marriage has led us to uncover an alarming reality; child mothers are being left behind in the international effort to help women and girl’s access their human rights.
When girls become mothers it marks the premature end of their childhood. The end of childhood often marks the end of their education which in turn stunts their economic potential.
Through the Make Child Mother’s Count Campaign, FORWARD will to support child mothers to return to school. Each donation will help combat the hidden costs of re-enrollment such as school uniforms, satchels, notebooks and stationary. For every girl who finishes school not only her life, but the life of her child will be transformed. Help us make child mothers count this June.
£5 can buy 5 exercise books to be distributed to child mothers in Tanzania where they can note down their thoughts, learnings and aspirations.
£15 can buy a child mother in Sierra Leone a school satchel so she can go to school with her belongings safe and secure.
£50 can buy a child mother in Kenya a complete school uniform which she may not be able to attend school without.
