International Zero Tolerance To FGM Day – FORWARD Urges FGM To Be Made History!
On February 6th 2006, International Zero Tolerance to FGM Day, FORWARD called for FGM to be made history!
Issuing a statement to our supporters and fellow sisters working for the realisation of the rights of girls and women worldwide FORWARD urged people to join our current campaign to bring about effective legislation against all forms of Female Genital Mutilation (FGM) in Sudan, following the recent death of a little girl to FGM.
We urged people to show their support by signing an online petition and sending letters to the Sudanese Ministry of Justice and Sudanese Embassy in London demanding they take immediate action to eliminate FGM in Sudan.
