FORWARD Launches Youth Website

This February FORWARD launched a new website catering specifically to young people. The new website: www.forwardyouth.org.uk was designed based on our experience of over 10 years’ award-winning work with young people and in primary and secondary schools on FGM and related gender issues.

It is aimed at 11-25 year olds and offers a safe, age-appropriate environment to learn more about FGM within the context of bodily integrity, safety, human rights, gender-based violence and health. It gives guidance for young people affected by FGM, as well as celebrating national youth campaigns and offering a gateway for young people to get involved in the campaign to end FGM.

The new site was launched at the pan-European conference Tackling FGM in Schools: Adopting a Holistic and Pro-Active Approach, hosted by FORWARD and the European End FGM Network.
