Calling All Young African Women Leaders
FORWARD’s partner initiative, Tuwezeshe Akina Dada, is looking for young African women to take an active role in the England branch of the movement! The project is an Africa-UK Young Women’s Leadership and Empowerment Movement, they are now seeking:
- Young, enthusiastic women of African heritage to take part as mentors in their new Mentorship Programme;
- Young women of African heritage with experience in the advocacy or women’s sector to act as Mentors; and
- Young, insightful women of African heritage to join our Young Women’s Advisory Panel to guide the project’s activities.
TuWezeshe Akina Dada Africa-UK Young Women’s Empowerment Movement, is a three-year women and girl’s rights project funded by Comic Relief’s Common Ground Initiative. Working across the UK, Kenya, Uganda, Tanzania and Somaliland, our vision is to equip young women with the skills they need to be leaders in the fight against gender based violence. In England the movement consists of the TuWezeshe Fellowship and the Mentorship programme which we are now recruiting for.
