FORWARD carried out this Participatory Ethnographic Evaluation Research (PEER) in Freetown, Sierra Leone. This involved supporting young women to design and carry out interviews with their peers. Using this unique methodology has produced rich and insightful information, based solely on the words of women at risk of, or who have undergone FGM. It has shed light on the challenges they face and their support needs.
