FORWARD is the leading African women led organisation working on female genital mutilation, child marriage and maternal health in the UK and Africa. For over 30 years we have been committed to safeguarding the rights and dignity of African girls and women. We do this through community engagement, grassroots partnerships, international advocacy, training and research.
FORWARD is seeking a hardworking and committed Africa Programme Assistant who will provide operational and administrative assistance to the Head of Global Advocacy and Partnerships, Africa Programme Manager and Programme Staff in line with planned activities to meet the goals of the FORWARD Diaspora, Africa and Policy (DAP) programme.
Job Purpose
You will perform a variety of administrative, coordination and logistical services in support of the operations of the DAP Programme, and assist with research, information management and documentation functions for the team. Main areas:
- To research and support the finalization of programme documentation.
- To provide administrative and project liaison support.
- To support programme travel management related arrangements.
- To assist in workshops and events.
As part of the recruitment and selection process FORWARD may undertake DBS (Disclosure & Barring Service) check when appropriate for all individuals who will work directly with children and vulnerable adults.
