Dr Faith Mwangi-Powell, FORWARD’s National Community Development Officer, is now the Acting Director of FORWARD. She will now additionally be in charge of managing personnel, national and overseas project, and overseeing fundraising. We are confident she will lead the way in moving FORWARD forward!

Amanda Lawrence is FORWARD’s new Administrative Assistant and joined us in August. Amanda graduated in Sociology from the LSE in July and we hope she has a long and fruitful working relationship with us.

Deborah Read’s secondment as FORWARD’s National Liaison Officer has now come to an end. She has recently accepted a position as in the Equal Opportunities Unit in the NHS. Debbie has been instrumental in FORWARD by conducting research into Local Authorities’ policies on Female Genital Mutilation (FGM) in the UK and assisting with The Gambia project.
