HAWIDRO in Nubian means the ‘return’ and this has become the central theme of their music. Hawidro comprises 8 musicians who came together with a shared vision to create a sound that linked their African and Egyptian heritage. Featuring Vocals by Ahmed Abayazeid, Guitar, Bass Drums and traditional Percussion there is no genre out there that describes Hawidro – but if you had to choose two words it’s Afro-Egyptian.
